Centrifugal pumps move fluids by transferring rotational energy (centrifugal force) to the fluid via an impeller.    These types of pumps have constant flow when the pressures are constant and can be used to move high volumes of liquids.  They are usually more efficient when transferring lower viscosity fluids.
